    I’d just add that you often get to talk to the person who produced it, which can be an inspiring thing! They normally have soome good ideas of how to use/cook it as well…

    I also like to talk to the people who grew my food. Oftentimes they can tell me what’s most fresh or ripe at the moment. Lately, it’s been determining which type of apples I buy for the week. I wish more people bought local food from the farmers markets. I’d rather put my money back into my community.

    thank you for the comments. I also have found that aside from the great recipes, my growers also give great advice for sustaining my home garden. They know I am nowhere near being a threat.. haha!… so they give out great ideas for making sure I have a great “harvest”.
