could they not have waited one week?

This is just ridiculous.

For the last few years, NBC Universal has promoted their “Green is Universal”. I think what makes it ironic is the vast amount of waste the entertainment industry creates, and this idea that somehow giving green tips offsets this waste. The fact that viewership is way down across the board, on all networks, makes it seem even more pointless, because the message isn’t getting out to the public, anyway

However, the ultimate slap in the face is that the same week NBC is promoting “green”, they fire everyone affiliated with the environmental programming, Forecast Earth, on The Weather Channel.

Are you kidding? What is this… “a do what I say, but not what I do” situation. I think the executives at NBC… or rather GE (one of the largest contributors to our environmental issues in the first place) need to take a good long look at the hypocrisy and maybe make some changes.
