I do agree with you Kent. The air pollution emitted by cigarettes is 10 times greater than diesel car exhaust. Environmental tobacco smoke produces fine particulate matter, which is the most dangerous element of air pollution for health.

One of the most dangerous air pollutants is cigarette smoke. Restricting smoking is an important key to a healthier environment. Legislation to control smoking is in effect in some locations, but personal exposure should be monitored and limited wherever possible.

Sugar and HFCS contain nearly the same one-to-one ratio of two sugars—fructose and glucose: Sugar is 50 percent fructose and 50 percent glucose. High fructose corn syrup is sold principally in two formulations — 42 percent and 55 percent fructose. The high fructose corn syrup used in breads, jams and yogurt is 42% fructose – actually less fructose than what’s found in sugar.

Many confuse pure “fructose” — a sugar also found in fruits and vegetables — with “high fructose corn syrup,” a sweetener that never contains fructose alone, but always in combination with an essentially equivalent amount of a second sugar (glucose). Recent studies that have examined pure fructose have been inappropriately applied to high fructose corn syrup. The resulting confusion has been compounded by careless commentators who ignore the important differences between the two products. Not only does high fructose corn syrup always contain glucose which is missing from pure fructose, but the studies that cause confusion examined artificially high levels of pure fructose not found either in high fructose corn syrup or in any normal diet.

ok lets get this straight there has been a lot of contraversy over is global warming a hoax or real but in fact it is real very real, your wondering then why did we get all this cold weather and snow. well beacuse weather and climate are tottaly different every body should know that beacuse weather is what is going to happen in a few says but climate is what is going to happpen over time…. GLOBAL WARMING IS REAL DONT BELIVE ANY THING ELSE YOU HEAR THEY KNOW NOTHING!!!!!!!!!

One company does not use all of their cap and trade allowance. Another company exceeds their allowance. So the company that exceeds its allowance transfers its excess to the company that did not exceed their allowance. I do not agree with this. Nothing has been reduced, it has just been transferred. If a company does not use its allowance, it should not be transferred. If a company continues to exceed its allowance it should be fined and forced to reduce. This would be a big improvement. Our world would be a better place.

Sorry, but I respectfully disagree with you. Harvey bags are made from the waste material from seat belt manufacturing. Therefore, you have less material going to landfills. Second, anything that doesn’t use an animal product, in my opinion, is by default “green”. The animal farming industry is the most toxic industry to our planet’s health. And, if you lessen your consumption of animal product, whether food or otherwise, you are doing something good. And lastly, the bags last forever and are timeless in style. I know because I have used mine for quote awhile. Which means, I don’t have to get a new bag every year because of wear or new styles. That to me is “green” because if you are reducing the amount you consume… you are helping.

Green doesn’t always mean that it is recycled. There are many ways to help the planet, thereby being “green”. There are three R’s… reduce, reuse, recycle.

Harvey’s handbags have nothing to do with being “green”. I looked at their website and see Zebra stripes, flowers, etc… on seatbelts? There is nothing recycled about the material they have manufactured for them.
