But here's where it gets controversial... with an expected turnout of 80,000 people and 2,305 vehicles, this event could cause some serious congestion. And this is the part most people miss: the Chief Minister, Union and State Ministers, and even school and college students will be in attendance, adding to the already high footfall.
So, which roads should you avoid today? The key areas to watch out for are Krishna Vihara Gate near Palace Grounds, Ballari Road, CV Raman Road, and Jayamahal Road. These roads are expected to experience heavy traffic, so plan your route accordingly.
For those heading to Kempegowda International Airport, the advisory suggests an alternative route to avoid Ballari Road. Instead, take the route via Old High Grounds Junction, Kalpana Junction, and so on, as mentioned in the advisory. It might be a longer route, but it could save you from getting stuck in traffic.
Traveling from the airport to the city center? There are two suggested routes: Route 1 via Hebbal and Queens Road, and Route 2 through Hebbal Ring Road and Dr Rajkumar Road. Both routes will get you to the city, but which one will you choose?
Now, here's a controversial point: heavy vehicle restrictions will be in place at several locations. At Hebbal Junction, heavy vehicles are not permitted towards Ballari Road, and at the Old High Grounds Police Station Junction, vehicles will be redirected. This could cause some confusion and delays, so be prepared.
Additionally, no-parking zones will be enforced today along several roads, including Palace Road and Nandidurga Road. So, if you're planning to park your vehicle, make sure you check the restrictions first.
