China's SD-3 Rocket Launches 7 Satellites from the Sea: A Major Achievement in China-Pakistan Space Cooperation
In a significant milestone for China's space industry, the Smart Dragon-3 (SD-3) commercial rocket successfully launched seven satellites into their intended orbits from the sea off the coast of Yangjiang, Guangdong Province, on Thursday afternoon (Beijing Time).
The launch, carried out by the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center, marked the fourth time the SD-3 rocket has been utilized for a commercial mission with multiple satellites. This achievement highlights the rocket's versatility and capabilities, particularly in payload adaptability, application scenarios, and commercial service offerings.
Among the satellites launched was Pakistan's PRSC-EO2 satellite, equipped with high-resolution optical payloads. The satellite's remote sensing data will be invaluable for Pakistan in various fields, including land mapping, environmental monitoring, natural disaster management, and natural resource protection.
This launch also underscores the growing collaboration between China and Pakistan in the space sector. It represents a significant step forward in their joint efforts to enhance space exploration and utilization, benefiting both nations.
The SD-3 rocket's success in this mission further solidifies its position as a key player in the global commercial satellite launch market, offering reliable and adaptable solutions for satellite deployment.
