The son of Chechen dictator Ramzan Kadyrov, Adam Kadyrov, was reportedly hospitalized in a Moscow hospital after a car accident in Grozny, Chechnya. The 18-year-old has been the head of Kadyrov's security service since November 2023. The accident occurred due to a high-speed motorcade, resulting in a mass accident and multiple victims. An air ambulance transported the injured Kadyrov to Moscow, where he will receive medical care. This news comes amidst rumors of Kadyrov's deteriorating health, as he was reportedly hospitalized in Moscow in December. A Ukrainian military intelligence source suggests that Kadyrov has suffered kidney failure, and discussions about his potential successor are ongoing. Candidates include Magomed Daudov, Chechnya's prime minister, Apti Alaudinov, the commander of the Akhmat forces, and Kadyrov's eldest son, Akhmat Kadyrov. The U.S. and other Western allies have imposed sanctions on Kadyrov and his family due to human rights abuses in Chechnya.
