Bold headline: A new furniture destination is rising right in front of Miracle Plaza, and it’s turning heads before it even opens.
Here’s the gist: construction at Miracle Plaza Shopping Center is taking shape for a dedicated Lovesac store. Lovesac is a nationwide brand famous for its modular, flexible sofa systems that can be reconfigured to fit different spaces and moods. The project was first reported in a July 2025 piece by the Tallahassee Democrat.
The forthcoming standalone Lovesac location will occupy a spot adjacent to Hollywood Feed, Fleet Feet, and Stretch Zone on Thomasville Road. The target opening window is early fall 2026, though Debbie Ashlin, a commercial real estate broker with NAI TALCOR, notes that the date depends on construction progress and final approvals.
Lovesac describes its products as built to last a lifetime and designed to evolve with customers’ needs. The brand already operates more than 20 stores across Florida, with most outlets in central and southern regions. The closest Lovesac locations to Tallahassee are in Pensacola, Gainesville, and Jacksonville.
This development also marks a bit of a homecoming for Lovesac in the Tallahassee area. In the past, the company had a collaboration with Best Buy to display select inventory in Best Buy stores, including the Tallahassee site on Apalachee Parkway. That partnership concluded in June 2025, according to press coverage.
If you’re following local business news, this project signals a notable shift in the city’s retail landscape, blending functional furniture with a brand that emphasizes adaptability and longevity.
Discussion starter: Do you think the return of Lovesac to Tallahassee signals a broader trend toward experiential, modular home furnishings? And what factors—pricing, style, or shopping experience—will determine whether this new location becomes a staple for area residents? Share your thoughts in the comments.
